War Ensemble Guitar Lesson – Slayer
In this War Ensemble guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play all of this killer thrash metal classic from Slayer.
The tuning is Eb tuning, Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb.
"War Ensemble" is a fantastic workout for your picking hand. The rhythms just simply never let up, so you need to keep your picking hand and forearm as relaxed as possible throughout.
I will tackle each riff in the order that each appears on the original recording.I will also demonstrate both guitar solos in-depth. There are some elements of Jeff Hanneman's solo (the first solo), that are not completely recreatable, but you will be able to get a good general idea of what is going on.
For Kerry King's solo, the licks are a lot more concise, which allow for a more note-for-note breakdown of it.
