Waste A Moment Guitar Lesson – Kings Of Leon

In this Waste A Moment guitar lesson video, I will show you note-for-note how to play this hit from Kings of Leon off of their WALLS album.

We will be using standard tuning for this lesson just like the original recording.

Throughout most of "Waste A Moment", lead vocalist/guitarist Caleb Followill and lead guitarist Matthew Followill play two separate guitar parts that compliment each other nicely.

Caleb does most of the chord and riff work while Matthew is usually playing a melodic line on top. It creates a full and melodic sound full of musical dynamics.

For the chorus, both guitarists play a strummed style rhythm even though they are playing different chord voicings.

There is also a short melodic solo that appears a few tinmes in the song played by Matthew Followill. Every time this solo appears it is played the same way except for the last time when it is repeated and extended a bit as Caleb Followill changes the underlying chord progression.

I will work you through the entire song note-for-note leaving no stone unturned. Enjoy!
