Yellow Submarine Guitar Lesson – The Beatles
In this Yellow Submarine guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play all the guitar chords for this much loved acoustic classic from The Beatles.
Written primarily by Paul McCartney as a lead vocal song for Ringo Starr, "Yellow Submarine" quickly became an international hit.
We will be using Eb tuning just like on the original recording. Those notes are, starting from the 6th string Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb.
The good news for all you guitar players out there who have yet to master bar chords is that there aren't any in "Yellow Submarine"!
The entire song also uses very simple strumming patterns which I will break down for you in the video lesson.
"Yellow Submarine" opens with the verse, which will be the most difficult section of the song to learn. The chords in the verse move around pretty quickly and there are many more in the verse than the chorus.
The chorus section is about as simple as you can get. It just goes back and forth between G and D major.
I hope you guys enjoy learning this simple yet fun acoustic classic from The Beatles!
