Eddie Van Halen Style Tap & Touch Harmonics

In this free video guitar lesson we will take a look at a couple of very cool harmonic techniques uses by Eddie Van Halen.

This harmonic technique will open up a lot of doors into harmonics that you could never access otherwise.

It has unlimited possibilities and can be used it every style of music. These are just some really cool techniques to add to your grab bag of tricks.

When performing these harmonics, play close attention to make sure that you are tap right onto the fret and not the spaces between the frets, which is where you would usually play on the fretboard.

A little bit of gain will help this technique out a lot, but if you want to use a clean sound try adding some compression to it, it can really help this effect come alive.

No PDF download for this one, it is pretty self explanatory. 🙂

Enjoy!!! Carl..

Hey Ray, not sure why you can’t view the lessons on your iPhone. Everything works great on my iPhone. Wish I was more technically astute and could tell you more but I can’t. 🙁
