In this The One I Love guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this great song from R.E.M. note-for-note.

The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.

Guitarist Peter Buck has some great riffs in this one. The opening riff is one of those instantly recognizable classics.

I will take you through each section of the song in the order that each appears on the original recording. There are a lot of arpeggio picked chords in this one. But, the patterns stay pretty consistent throughout the song.

You will also hear an acoustic guitar on the recording overdubbed with the main electric guitar parts. I will only be demonstrating the electric guitar parts which is how the usually performed it live.

I will also be covering Peter Buck's short solo note-for-note.

Have fun learning this R.E.M. classic! Carl...
