Beginner Guitar Songs – Free Lessons

Calling something a beginner guitar song can be a bit of an oxymoron. In reality a total beginner can't play much of anything until they get some basic chords memorized and perhaps some strumming patterns.

So, the songs below are a pretty good place to start if you can play some chords and basic rhythms and want to play a song. I would say these songs would be a good challenge for anyone who has been playing 3-12 months.

Obviously, every player is different. Some practice a lot, and some don't. Therefore, there are many different levels of a "beginner".

In any case, even if you feel you are an intermediate player, many of these beginner guitar songs are still great tunes. I play many of them myself.

Also, you may find some of the intermediate songs within your ability level as well and there is a much bigger selection of intermediate songs to choose from. 🙂
